Curly has been working from 2003 in the diving industry in Sharm el Sheikh and Dahab with various Dive Centres primarily with PADI and CMAS.
From 2005 – 2007 he was a freelance on Liveaboards and with Camel and Ocean College. From 2007 – 2018 he worked at the renowned Ocean College Dive Centre, Red Sea, Sharm el Sheikh.
He enjoys teaching both adults and children, and has taught over 1500 diving courses. Throughout his diving career he continues to gain a wealth of diving & teaching experience, as teaching & diving are his passion.
He has been awarded the Elite Instructor award by PADI four times and gained special recognition by PADI Quality Management.
In 2018 he came to England and worked for Morecambe Area Divers, crossing over to Scuba Schools International. In 2019 he won Christmas Star award from the BBC for services to teaching diving, especially with children and adaptive clients and also won an Award with the SSI for the highest number of students taught. In 2020, he formed MAD Dive School with Mark True where they hope to continue teaching adults, children and divers who are less abled bodied.
